This is a quilted pouch made from fabric scraps, perfect for using up your overflowing leftovers. It is an item that can be easily made using only square patches. I named it "FAN-POUCH" because it looks like a fan!!
Supplies
Patchwork fabric pieces - 4*4 (17 pieces/seam allowance not included), lining and batting - 23 * 23 (seam allowance included),
Zipper - 20cm (1 piece), Binding - approximately 45cm
Pattern
1. Draw a 4*4 completion line on the back of the cut fabric (17 pieces), arrange them as shown in the photo, and then proceed to complete the patches in order. At this time, sew only up to the completion line, then trim the seam allowance into a pinwheel shape and press.
2. Place and secure the quilt batting, outer fabric patch (outer), and lining (inner) in order. Place and secure the quilt batting, outer patch (outer), and lining (inner) in order.
3. After quilting the red line part of the photo, cut the batting in the seam allowance area.
4. Make small cuts in the concave part as shown in the photo, then flip it over and trim as shown in the photo.
5. After quilting, fold it in half and blind stitch the left and right sides.
6. As shown in the photo, secure the binding fabric to the outside and sew it, then finish with a blind stitch on the inside.
7. Align the center of the zipper with the pouch, secure the zipper with a pin, and sew. At this point, align the ends of the zipper teeth with the binding line as shown in the second photo.
8. It is finished!!
I usually just make square pouches out of scraps, but making a round pouch like this looks a bit prettier.. It's also great for putting the small items that are rolling around in my bag~
