Simple Zipper Pouch / Pencil Case / Eyeglass Case , perfect for use as an eyeglass case, pencil case, or makeup brush pouch.
It is an easy item that can be completed in about 30 minutes, as long as you know how to attach a zipper.
The materials used and cutting dimensions are as follows.
First, place a round object against one corner of the adhesive batting and trace a curve.
Fold it in half and cut along the drawn lines.
Only the top two corners were trimmed into a curve like this.
Please attach adhesive batting to the back of the outer fabric.
Lay the lining and outer fabric on top of each other and cut the fabric along the shape of the fusible batting. Leave a 1cm seam allowance.
Please cut the zipper slightly longer than the rest of the border, excluding the bottom edge.
I will split the zipper in half and use only one side.
Before attaching the zipper, please mark the center point on the curved top edge of both the outer and inner fabrics.
Sew the zipper to the edge of the outer fabric. Make sure the right side of the outer fabric meets the right side of the zipper.
For the curved sections, make a small cut along the side seam of the zipper with scissors.
Pre-sew the decorative label onto the desired area.
Place the right sides of the outer fabric and the lining together. Carefully align the center point you marked earlier.
Sewing the outer fabric and lining together.
Once you finish sewing, make small cuts in the seam allowances of the curved sections.
Please turn it inside out so that the outer surface is visible.
Fold the base in half
Please trim the lengths of both ends of the zipper evenly.
Insert the zipper pull.
Please turn it inside out so that the lining is visible. Fold the outer fabric and the lining in half, centering on the zipper.
Please fold the zipper so that the coil faces the outer fabric and the zipper flaps face the inner fabric.
Sew, leaving a gap on the lining side.
Please cut the zipper neatly to match the length of the fabric.
Turn it inside out through the opening.
Close the opening with topstitching or a blind stitch.
Please iron the fabric by pushing it inward along the zipper line. You must perform this step properly to prevent the fabric from getting caught in the zipper when opening and closing it.
Please secure it with pins, taking care not to let the fabric spill over toward the zipper.
Topstitch along the zipper line.
It's finished.
