Again i have been asked to do a tutorial on my etui box. Again i can only offer you the way i make the boxes together. I therefore have made another one, and took photos as i went along. Measurements are extremely important because the box needs to match up perfectly.
These babies are fun to make and great for keeping odds and ends in one place. They'd be a great place for socks, toys, magazines, hand towels, etc.
The other day, I decided to make a little fabric box for Bun's dresser, to keep the baby socks tidy. When I went looking for fabric box tutorials, I found a ones that used felt, or quilting, or even some sort of plastic inserts. There were lots of different styles: another felt fabric box, a simple fabric box, another fabric box. But none were quite what I wanted, so I decided to make something up.
Do me (and yourself) a favor and read through all these instructions before making your bin! There are magics of math involved in this tutorial that I do not claim to understand. You might think of a better way after you read through it.
These fabric baskets are a breeze to make and take very little time to whip up, with gorgeous results when you use your favorite fabrics.
