How to Sew a Purse With a Clasp Frame. DIY Clasp Frame Purse | Sewing + Pattern.

Materials Needed 

Patterned fabric: 18 x 34 cm (1 piece)
Plain fabric: 18 x 29 cm (1 piece)
Lining: 35 x 40 cm (1 piece)
Quilting batting: 35 x 40 cm (1 piece)
Coin purse frame: 12 cm (1 piece)

1. Please make a pattern according to the design.

2. Place the actual pattern on the inside of the lining and draw on two pieces. Cut with a seam allowance of 0.7cm. Place the outer fabric right side up and the lining right side up on top of the quilting batting, so they face each other at a 45° angle. Secure each with pins, then run stitch, leaving a gap for turning. One stitch is required at the beginning and end.

3. Trim the quilting batting near the stitching line. Then, turn it inside out through the opening. Before turning it inside out, leave a seam allowance of about 3mm at the corners, cut it, and made small cuts with scissors

4. Close the opening with a blind stitch.

5.. Connect the side + front and the side + back using a blind stitch..

6.. This is what it looks like with two sheets connected..

7.. I combined the two pieces from number 6 again using a whip stitch..

8.. This is the bottom.. Since there is a slight gap in the center, I stitched it one stitch at a time in a + shape~

9. Connect one half of the frame first, and then connect the other half. Before attaching the frame, mark the center points of the front and side panels, then secure them by inserting pins in an X shape, and then connect them.

10.. I've run-stitched halfway up to the center of the side.. However, I was very concerned about the stitches on the lining side when attaching the frame,, but the secret is to have the needle come inside, then come out through that same needle hole, and run-stitch while going out through the side hole of the frame.. Finally, please secure it firmly, one stitch at a time, so that they are visible on the inside as well..

11.. From the center point A of the frame go to the end B of the frame with a running stitch, and then return to A with a running stitch, and connect with a backstitch..

12.. The inside of the frame is clean
