Making a Pumpkin Pincushion
1) Cut the fabric into a circle of a suitable size.
I figured roughly the size of a rice bowl would be enough, so I turned a rice bowl upside down.
2) Place the right sides of the fabric that will become the top and bottom of the cushion together, leaving a 3cm opening, and sew all the way through.
Make small cuts here and there along the seam allowance so that it looks nice when turned inside out.
3) Turn it inside out through the opening and stuff it full with cotton, then close the opening.
4) Knit a circle in the center with a pretty colored yarn, then stitch around while pulling the yarn tight to shape it. (I used 6 strands because I thought the yarn needed some thickness to stand out.)
Finally, attach a suitable decoration to the center to conceal the knot.
Oh my~ It turned into a flower~😊
5) The white back looked a bit plain, so I added a ribbon. It looks too pretty to call it just the back... haha. I guess I should call it a double-sided cushion~
