1.. Please make a template according to the pattern.
2. For the chicken body and head, draw on the actual pattern:
Place it upright and draw on one piece of each, then turn it over and draw on one piece of each.
For the lining, draw the head and body together:
Place one piece upright and turn it over.
Cut to a seam allowance of 0.7cm.
For the chicken comb, lower comb, and beak:
Fold the fabric in half and draw once.
Cut to a seam allowance of 0.3cm.
For the bottom, draw on one piece of outer fabric and one piece of lining.
Cut to a seam allowance of 0.7cm.
3. Stitch the comb, comb, and beak, then turn them inside out. Put a small amount of cotton stuffing into each using tweezers, and simply close the bottom with a running stitch.
4. Secure the head and body parts with pins, and sew a running stitch.. (Sew the seam allowance as well!)
5. Place the lining right side down on top of each batting. Place the outer fabric right side down with the outer fabric right side down. I... Like in the photo below, if I place the outer fabric right side down with the lining right side down on top of the quilting batting, and then sew them together, it seems to result in a slightly prettier finish..
6. Secure each with pins, then sew a running stitch, leaving a gap.
7. Trim the quilting batting near the seam line. Then, turn it inside out through the opening. Oh! Leave about a 3mm seam allowance at the corners before cutting, and remember I made some snips? It will look neat and pretty if you iron it~ haha
8. Close the opening with a blind stitch, then draw quilting lines on the wings and the bottom. Quilt the section connecting the head and the body. Then, quilt the wings and the bottom along the lines.
To make it sturdier and more stylish... Please add plenty of quilting to the body and bottom~
9..Use the outer or inner fabric Please make a stuffed head cushion that is slightly smaller than the outer head size..
10.. This is a photo taken before combining..
11. Position the comb and beak inside the chicken and secure them with a running stitch.
12. Place the chickens with their insides facing each other. Please attach the side seams using a blind stitch. Secure with a pin or a needle for one stitch, and then blind stitch, as you all know. Blind stitch the head part as well. Please attach it by passing the needle through the comb and the beak.
13.. Insert the head cushion inside the head part and Please attach the eyes..
14. Mark the center of the body and the bottom, secure with pins, and connect with a blind stitch.
15.. Great job~ It's finished~
Members who have learned even a little bit of quilting, will probably be able to follow along just by looking at the photos,, but for those who are new to it, I explained it in detail, even though it is a bit complicated~
