Check out my tutorial on how to make this handy little fanny pack from old jeans. Free Sewing Tutorial.
1. Measure up 7.5” from the hem on one leg of your jeans and cut.
2. Get out your seam ripper and remove 2 belt loops from your jeans. Sew them to one side of your pant leg 2.5” from the hem. I used a small zigzag stitch.
3. Turn the pant leg inside out. Create the bottom of your pouch by stitching a seam ¼” from the raw edges.
4. Cut off part of the waistband, including the button hole and at least 1.5” above the button hole.
5. Pin the button loop/waistband piece, centered between the sides, to the side of the pouch with the belt loops and stitch it in place.
6. Fold the pouch over to determine button placement. Sew the button to the front by hand or by using a zigzag stitch on your machine.
7. You are all done! Slip a belt through the belt loops and you are ready to go!
