Today I'm sharing a simple tutorial: The Mix and Match Fabric Basket. Useful as a pocket organizer, to organize your sewing supplies, or for the pleasure of cute DIY storage.
How to Sew a Bowler-Style Bag
Here are the stepbystep instructions to make the bowling bag we came up for our last workshop, just like we promised! Don’t panic, although it may not look like it, it’s really easy. If you’re patient, you can make it in an afternoon. You can even finish up the last step while watching your favorite TV show. You can make it however you like, with two inside pockets, shorten the handles, play around with different fabrics... have fun!
Back To School Pencil Pouch Tutorial
For us, back to school means new pencil pouches and trapper keepers so we are hooking you up the perfect fall pouch project. Made with durable waxed canvas this simple project is quick to make and will hold together all year long. Not heading back to school? This carryall is a great size for transporting and storing craft supplies or as a travel toiletry bag!
Elemental Zip Pouch Tutorial
These Elemental Zip Pouches were born from a need for simple, multi-use bags that can be used to hold almost anything. I love to keep things organized and I am much more likely to keep everything tidy if I have a beautiful, handmade bag to store things in. These multi-pocket, multi-size pouches are perfect for tablets, makeup, notions, art supplies, or anything else your heart desires. As basic and useful as earth, wind, fire, and water, these pouches are named as much for their functionality as they are for their elemental pocket detail.
DIY No Sew Beach Tote
This tote is simple, chic, and DOES NOT REQUIRE SEWING. I’ve been getting by without a sewing machine (though it is a goal of mine to get one and tame the beast) and have happily found that you guys really enjoy my no sew tutorials, so I’ll keep them coming :).
This tote was made pretty much exactly the same way as my no sew tote bag, only this one is bigger and roomier for all those beach day supplies. Plus, these handles are made with nautical rope and I used a new technique for attaching them to the bag, which I’m really excited to share!
DIY No Sew Tote Bag
When I first set out to make this tote bag, I did some research to see what kind of no sew tutorials were out there, and to my surprise there weren’t many at all that I came across. So if you’re in the I-don’t-have-a-sewing-machine camp like I am or have a general interest in not using a sewing machine, then hopefully this DIY will help you out!
DIY Pillowcase Tote Bag
Do you love a good tote? We love a good tote. And this DIY pillowcase tote bag is our new favorite for shopping trips, book clubs, and trips to the farmers market. If you’ve got a few pillowcases and scarves (or an addiction to thrift stores), you’re a quick sewing sesh away from your own cute bag. Try one tonight!
