How to Make a Pouch Using a Roll Zipper. I'd like to introduce how to make a pouch using a roll zipper that can be cut to the desired length. Learning to Make a Pouch with Pictures.
Preparation
1 outer fabric, 1 lining (13.5 x 16 cm) / 18 cm size 3 roll zipper / 1.5 cm wide 4 cm cotton tape / Other (key ring)
How to sew
1. Attach washable fabric magic tape to the outer and inner surfaces of the outer fabric, as shown in the photo. If tape is not available, you can secure it with pins during sewing.
2. As shown in the photo, attach the outer fabric and the outer zipper, then attach the inner fabric and the back of the zipper, then sew with a width of 0.7 cm. When using a size 5 zipper, sew with a width of 1 cm.
3. Iron the sewn part as shown in the photo to tidy it up.
4. Lift and secure the fabric on the opposite side of the sewing as shown in the photo.
5. Sew with a width of 0.7 cm, as in step 2.
6. Open the sewn zipper and turn it inside out as shown in the photo.
7. After ironing, sew 0.2cm up as shown in the photo. This will press down the seam allowance and prevent the fabric from coming off when you open and close the zipper.
8. After sewing, turn it inside out and insert the zipper eyelet as shown in the photo. You'll need to insert the zipper eyelet twice. The first time will be to gather the zipper together. This will help keep the zipper closed when sewing the side seams.
9. When you put the zipper back on, don't open it all the way, but open it slightly at the front of the insertion part and insert it, and insert the zipper ball all the way to the middle of the zipper as shown in the picture.
10. Mark approximately 2cm from the zipper opening with a pair of scissors and fold only to that point. Then, fold the cotton tape in half and insert it in the direction the zipper closes, as shown in the photo.
11. As shown in the photo, sew halfway down the side with the cotton tape, then flip it over, fold over the lining to be used as the window opening, and sew the remaining half of the outer fabric. After sewing, tidy up any remaining zipper.

12. Sew the remaining opposite side completely. As you can see in the photo, there's a hole left in the lining on one side.
13. If you flip it over through the window hole, it will look like the picture at first. Don't panic. Just open the zipper and flip it over again to complete the process. Finish the window hole with a rounded corner.
