How to Make a Coin Purse/Card Wallet - Using Scrap Fabric. This is a great coin purse and card wallet made from scrap fabric.
There's also a card slot
It's great for storing small items like coins or keys.
Fold the adhesive cotton in half lengthwise.
The adhesive pad I used was 2 ounces thick.
Please draw two rectangles the same size as the picture below.
Cut along the drawn line.
The pattern is complete.
Please attach adhesive cotton to the back of the outer fabric.
Please mark a 1cm seam allowance based on the adhesive cotton border.
Overlap the lining and outer fabric
Cut along the drawn line.
I'll make a card slot for you.
Fold in half so that the outer sides meet
Please sew one side.
Turn it over so that the outside is visible
It's neatly ironed.
Please place it close to the upper edge.
Lay the lining with the right side facing out. Mark the location where you will sew the card slots, as shown in the photo below.
Place the card slots along the drawn lines
Sew with a width of 0.2mm.
Match the outer surface of the lining and outer fabric
Sew along the edge of the adhesive pad, leaving a hole on one side.
Cut the pointed corners short.
For the concave corners, insert the scissors diagonally.
Fold and iron the seam allowance at the window opening.
Turn the outer fabric inside out.
Iron the edges neatly, shaping them neatly.
Sew both sides together to seal the window opening.
Mark the center point at the location indicated by the arrow.
Draw a line connecting this center point and the two concave vertices.
Sew along the drawn lines.
Align the two lines indicated by the arrows.
Sew close to the edges.
Sew the remaining three sections in the same way.
Fold the sides along the triangle-shaped line.
It folds flat like this.
Fold up the bottom of the flap and mark the appropriate location for attaching the button.
Attach the button to the marked location.
I added magnetic buttons, but you could also add T-buttons to the outside for a pop of color.
It's done.
