Stuffed Toy Fox Free Pattern. Fox Stuffed Animal Sewing DIY Tutorial. Stuffed Fox Doll.
This sly little fox will require 1/3 yard of fabric. You should print the 3 pattern pages and cut out each piece along the solid line. You will be cutting your fabric along the solid line of the pattern and stitching just inside (1/4” seam allowance).
PATTERN
Step 1:
Cut out your fabric pieces. You will need to cut 2 face pieces, 2 tail pieces, 4 ear pieces, and one of each of the rest. If you want the tip of the fox's tail to be a contrasting fabric, you'll need to piece together 2
fabrics, and then cut the tail out.
Step 2:
with right sides facing in, stitch the chin to the belly as shown along the dotted green line.
Step 3:
With right sides facing in, stitch the two face pieces together along green dotted line.
Step 4:
With right sides together, stitch face to chin. You sort of have to force the edges of the curves together. Points a, b, and c on the face should line up respectively with points a, b, and c on the chin.
Step 5:
Stitch the ear pieces together as shown with right sides facing together, then turn right side out.
Step 6:
Sandwich the back and the belly/face piece together right sides in. Slip the ears between the layers as shown. Stitch along the green dotted line.
Step 7:
Stitch the 2 tail pieces together right sides in. Turn right side out and stuff.
Step 8:
insert the stuffed tail into the fox body. The fox body is still wrong side out and unstuffed. Stitch along the dotted green line.
Step 9:
Now you can finally turn your fox right side out and stuff it. Hand-stitch the bottom seam closed.
Step 10:
Add eyes and nose.
You’re finished! Well done!
