Makeup Brush Roll Bag Tutorial. Create a Travel Makeup Brush Roll: DIY Sewing Tutorial.
Materials needed:
3 different fabrics, wadding (each approx. 20 x 40 cm), some elastic, some felt, bias tape approx. 130 cm, one button, fabric scraps, ribbon for decoration
Lay out all the brushes and utensils that will be used in the roll.
Now draw the positions of the quilting lines onto the pattern.
Fold the fabric for the bag lengthwise and iron it. If desired, sew on the trim or ribbon. Now layer the pieces: first, with the wrong side facing up, the outer fabric; then the wadding; then the lining; and finally the bag.
Secure all layers firmly with pins. Transfer the markings from the pattern to the fabric.
Step through all the layers.
Now lay the pattern on top again and cut out the curves. I leave about a 1cm border, otherwise the largest brush would stick out a bit.
Now fold the bias tape and pin and sew it in place, right sides together, as shown in the picture above, just below the first crease.
Now shorten the overhang slightly and
Fold the bias tape inwards, pin it to the outer fabric, and sew it on close to the edge.
Sew an elastic band in the middle and cover it with a flower.
Roll up the contents of the tube and determine the position for the closure button. Sew on the button, and you're done!
