DIY coin purse | Cute Mini zipper pouch | Keychain Pouch | Easy Sewing project For Beginners. Free Sewing Tutorial.
This is a felt coin purse in a really bright yellow color.
Small floral patterns pop right into the felt.
I love the cozy feeling provided by the 2mm thickness.
There is a circular loop at the top, so it is also perfect for use as a keychain or accessory.
You were probably wondering where the opening is for this coin purse, weren't you? The secret is right on the back! There is a zipper sewn into the back, allowing you to store coins and bills.
Its compact size fits perfectly in one hand, making it convenient to carry.
Don't underestimate it just because of its small size. Believe it or not, this coin purse boasts ample storage space. It is also really simple to make. Anyone can give it a try as long as they can sew. So, shall we take a look at just how simple it is?
First, prepare some patterned felt. Roughly determine the size of the wallet you want to make and cut a rectangle out of it.
Roll the felt into a circle. Then, place the zipper between the two ends and secure it with basting stitches.
After securely fastening both sides with stitching
Cut both ends of the zipper to match the length of the felt and lightly singe them with a lighter. Then, sew the ends of the zipper to prevent the loop from coming off.
Turn the felt inside out, and sew it while pressing one end as shown in the photo.
Then, press and fold the bottom sides again to form a triangle shape and sew.
Fold the ends of the triangle down on both sides and secure them with stitching.
After turning it inside out so the outer fabric is visible, attach a label to the front to decorate it.
Then, trim the top edge with bias fabric and sew the bottom hem.
Cut a small piece of bias fabric, create a loop in the center, insert it, and baste it. Gently fold the sides inward to shape it.
Sew the entire hole shut with one stitch.
A felt coin purse capturing the bright colors of spring is complete
Since it is sewn with both sides pressed and folded, it balances well without wobbling.
The design has the top slightly indented, so it isn't plain and looks pretty.
For a small coin purse, the interior is spacious, so it can hold a large amount of coins.
