My tutorial today is super easy! Last year I bought some coloring fabric and designed a marker roll that would fit a pack of 10 washable markers (the thick kind!) These projects are so great for gifts! In fact, I sold out of all the marker rolls I made at an Easter craft fair – moms were buying them for Easter basket stuffers!!! They are great for party favors, stocking stuffers, graduation gifts (well…..maybe kindergarten graduation???!) And you can whip out several in a short amount of time!
I’ve got a fun and simple precut pattern. It’s a houndstooth quilt made easy! We’re going to bypass cutting 3″ or 4″ strips with angles, etc. and instead opt for Jelly Rolls (Rolie Polies) and Charm Packs (Stackers) depending on the size you want your finished quilt to be.
I love roman shades for their simple style and versatility. They look good on there own or can be paired with long curtains. I made a lot of these shades for my previous home and a couple for the one that I live in now. You can pretty much use any fabric, but I've found using a heavy weight cotton decorator fabric or cotton duck works best. Plus, you don't need to line the shade with these types of fabrics.
