Learn How to Peyote Stitch: Part 3

Today we will learn the basics of peyote stitch and make a ring! Once you get the hang of it you can make one in 15 minutes. Be careful… it’s addicting.

One of my favorite crafting techniques is jewelry stitching because the supplies are easily portable. So when I am camping with the family I can still squeeze in a little bit of crafting. I’m not so sure my sewing machine would fit in around the campfire.

I wanted to do a tutorial for a simple little pouch. Something no-fuss that could be made in a few short hours. I don't know about you, but I have a TON of friends, family, and coworkers that I have to make birthday and Christmas presents for, so as much as I love show-stopping gifts and elaborate bags & pouches, sometimes it's nice to have a small, quick gift in your repertoire :)

Shopping for craft books at the public library is one of my fave past times, and bringing them home for free somehow gives me satisfaction despite having to return them in 3 weeks. The need for a sweet little tote to carry my temporary books from the library inspired this little bird book bag.

Liberated (emergency) Baby Quilt Tutorial

I will show you how to make a Liberated (emergency) Baby Quilt. This style of making blocks is, for me, far faster than traditional piecing and since each block will be different, it makes each quilt a unique one-of-a-kind piece. This quilt uses Shoo Fly blocks on the front and Stars on the back.

Once you know the technique of how to make one - you will quickly be able to make one of pretty much any different size using the same method.

How to Sew a Japanese Knot Bag with Free Pattern and Tutorial. This is an adorable reversible bag that is the perfect size for a lunch bag or to throw a phone and wallet in for a quick trip to the store. With the right fabric, it could be a great evening bag.

The basic cushion case size is about 18 inch x 18 inch laid flat (it's much easier to use a old cushion cover as a template than to use the cushion itself)
