One of my Christmas traditions is making paper snowflakes. I love the surprise each time you unfold a new one. I think they make lovely decorations for windows and trees and presents.
Tutorial: How to Sew a Fabric Box
The other day, I decided to make a little fabric box for Bun's dresser, to keep the baby socks tidy. When I went looking for fabric box tutorials, I found a ones that used felt, or quilting, or even some sort of plastic inserts. There were lots of different styles: another felt fabric box, a simple fabric box, another fabric box. But none were quite what I wanted, so I decided to make something up.

Dilly Doily Bag Tutorial
I thought I would once again try to make some produce bags out of something I had at home. The two things I played with were tulle and doilies. I liked the idea of something somewhat see-thru so that a grocery store clerk could read the code if you were at a supermarket. Since tulle is not my friend I leaned more towards the vintage doilies. After a few tries and takes and takes and tries, here is what I have come up with. I'm not sure if I got pics of every step but here ya go.. Have fun!

2 Sided Zipper Pouch Tutorial
This tutorial is for when you want a bag with a fabric pattern that needs to face up...like the cupcakes on both sides. Super easy, and the seam is tucked inside the lining, versus Take 1's tutorial with the seam being seen just inside the bag.
Simple Zipper Pouch Tutorial
This tutorial is just the basics for making a bag with no bottom seam. It would have worked much better with another pattern because now my cupcakes are upside-down on the reverse side. But the pouch is just to hold my markers so I don't mind.
