How to Sew a Spool Holder - Pincushion

Materials: Plain cotton, a few patterned fabrics Leather straps, cotton, buttons... 1. Patterned fabric - 2 pieces for the body (drawing the pattern on the inside of the fabric) 1 piece each for the yo-yo and the bottom (drawing the pattern on the outside of the fabric) 2 pieces of cotton - 2 for the ears, 2 for the face

2. Connect the body and face with a home stitch


3. Place the outer sides facing each other and secure the two sheets with pins.

4. Leave the bottom part and sew around the circle.

5. Make two layers of grooves around the bottom part (cylinder).

6. Flip it over and shape it well.

7. Fill the inlet with cotton and pull the thread that has been sewn.

8. Pull the thread until it becomes as shown below and tie a tight knot.

9. Shape the outer surface with your hands along the circular shape.

10. Pin the circle in the center and sew along the edges.


11. Place the cut fabric face-to-face, leaving a window opening, and sew. Face the fabric inside out and finish the window opening with a rounded hem.


12. Make a yo-yo.

13. Fold the ear in half, place it on top of your head, and secure it with two rows of stitches. Place the yo-yo you made on top and secure it with a pin.


14. Twist along the edge of the yo-yo.

15. Knit two rows of stitches on the side and pass the needle through the knot. Pass the needle through the buttonhole to the opposite side.


16. Pass the needle through the buttonhole again, then return to the opposite side and pass it through the buttonhole again. Return to the opposite side and pass it through the buttonhole again, tying a secure knot.

17. Prepare a leather strap (34cm) and tie a knot as shown in the photo.

18. Pass the string through both holes and fasten it to the buttons on both sides. Done~~~
