The sizes of the cosmetic bag are 7 * 17 * 7 cm. Materials: cotton, calico, synthetic winterizer, braid, rep ribbon, zipper.

To get a cosmetic bag measuring 7 * 17 cm, you will need a rectangle of fabric 30 * 26 cm in size and a rectangle of the same size for the lining. Another plus of this form of cosmetic bag is that you can easily adjust the size. I’ll tell you how to calculate the size of a rectangle. Add height to the desired length and add a couple of centimeters to allowances - you will get one side of the rectangle (I have 7 + 17 + 2 = 26 cm). We multiply the desired height by 4, add a couple of centimeters to the allowances and get the second side (7 * 4 + 2 = 30 cm). I hope everything is clear :)

We sew all the parts together to make a rectangle of the desired size. In order for the cosmetic bag to keep its shape, we compact this rectangle or quilted with a synthetic winterizer. Sew decorations.

We unzip it (it’s better to take a zipper with a margin of 40-50 cm) and face-to-face we pin its halves to the smaller sides of our rectangle. The main thing to make sure that when closing the zipper, the tape and braid on both sides of the rectangle are opposite each other.

From top to bottom we lay a lining.

On both short sides, we sew a line as close to the zipper as possible.

We twist so that the wrong side remains inside. Iron the seams and lay the finishing stitch to fasten the zipper.

We fasten the zipper almost to the end, fasten the edge to be trimmed with a few stitches and trim the excess. We turn the resulting cylinder out with the lining out, fold in half along the zipper and mark the middle. Combine the zipper with this middle, and bend the side parts to the same point.

From the fabric we cut out two rectangles 6 * 4 cm in size, bend the long sides of these rectangles to the middle and fold the resulting strip across.

The resulting “tongues” are placed under the ends of the zippers on both sides.

We sew both sides and process the edges with an oblique inlay or a piece of fabric. I use a piece of fabric measuring 5 * 11 cm for each edge.

We turn out the cosmetic bag on the face and straighten the corners. That's all!
