Hair Scrunchy with flower zipper tutorial

Sometimes even the most nondescript parts of clothing can make an interesting and beautiful thing. For example, you can make various jewelry from a zipper. This idea is very popular now. In my master class, I will tell you how to make a flower out of old zippers.

We will prepare the necessary materials for work:

1. two zippers: one pink (18-20 cm), the second white (8-10 cm)

2. threads (in the color of one of the zippers)

3. needle

4. superglue

5. elastic band (for attaching the flower to the hair)

6. scissors

7. a small flap of pink or white fabric

8. matches or a lighter


Step 1. Procurement of parts

We divide the white zipper into two parts and remove the slider, which will serve as the core of the flower. We divide each part in half, we get four equal parts from white zipper .

Pink zipper is also divided into two parts. We leave one part of the zipper intact, from the second part of the zipper we cut off the excess tissue, leaving 0.5 cm from the edge of the teeth. We singe the edges of the fabric and divide it into equal four parts.

 

Step 1. Harvesting the petals and assembling the flower

We collect the long pink part of the zipper for assembly, tighten the line and form a beautiful central flower.

 

We also assemble the white parts of the lightning for assembly, we get four petals. Sew the petals to the central flower.

From four pink zippers we form droplets and sew them to the flower. Glue a white slider in the center of the flower.

Step 3. Making the mount

Sew the elastic on the wrong side of the flower. From a pink fabric we cut out a small circle and glue it, closing the thread stitches. Allow the glue to dry and try on the decoration.
