  1. hi! nice bag, I wanted to make one for my mum, but the part were you sew the bottom denim piece, with the other one I don´t understand it,... you sew the lighter fabric all the wy down, and when you get to the denim part you stop sewing and then....what?..... sorry don´t understand. please help!

  4. I made two! Very easy and I get lots of compliments. I made my totes from a vintage tablecloth, lined with a vintage sheet. Thank-you for sharing this tote tutorial!

  5. Question for those who have made this, what seem width did you use?

    1. For my two totes, I used the edge of my machine foot as a seam allowance guide - between 1/4 and 3/8 inch. However, when I make more of these totes, I will used at least a 1/2 inch seam allowance.

    2. I prefer sewing in imperial, will the 1/2" seam make this more true to tote size?
      also, i noticed you were willing to help someone with the bottom part by explaining how to do that fold, could you give me a tip? thanks :)
