Часто шью из джинсовой ткани и всегда хочется, чтобы швы выглядели как можно более "фабричными". Увы, сымитировать фабричный двойной шов на бытовой швейной машине не возможно, но сделать приличную двойную отстрочку вполне можно.
Многие, кто пытался шить специальными джинсовыми нитками, сталкивался с трудностями - машинка пропускает стежки, петляет на какой-либо из сторон ткани и прочее. У меня тоже так было. Но потом, проштудировав несколько швейных форумов, я нашла ряд хитростей, которые наконец примирили мою машинку с толстыми джинсовыми нитками.

Хитрость первая - нитки

Толстая декоративная нить используется только в качестве верхней, в шпульку заправляем обычную нить, например, армированную нить лен-лавсан №45. Натяжение верхней нити нужно немного ослабить.
