Boutonniere leather DIY step-by-step tutorials

Necessary materials and tools:

• acrylic paints (blue and white), synthetic brush, palette

• leather (black, gray and green), glue, dry fuel tablets

• scissors, brooch clasp, beads, punch

• wire, acetone, scissors

When it is difficult to choose the skin of the desired shade, acrylic paints come to our aid.

• First, degrease the surface with acetone or alcohol.

• We draw on the brush from different sides the paint (white and blue), while trying to immerse the brush in the desired color almost perpendicularly.

• Using the brush back and forth on the palette, make a color track, achieving a smooth transition of one color to another, and then paint on the skin.

• According to the conceived sketch, my brooch will be decorated with three flowers. Each of the flowers consists of one large corolla and two smaller ones.

• Cut the corollas, burn the edges and in the center punch a hole = 1 mm.

• The middle of the flower will be a yellow bead. We pull the wire through the holes and twist it well.

• We collect flowers. We pass the core of the flower through the holes in the corollas and, adding a drop of glue, glue them together. Moreover, the upper corolla is turned inside out and glued with petals to the bead.

• Now let's deal with the stems. We wrap the stem with a narrow leather ribbon, fixing it to the wire with glue.

• Close the junction with the flower with a pre-burnt circle of the same color.

• To make the boutonniere, we need two leaves of green color and three narrow leaves of gray.

 
• Make the necessary cuts along the edge, moisten with PVA glue and twist it well.

• After 2-3 minutes, carefully unfold the leaves and leave them alone until completely dry.

• Decorate the edges with small beads and collect the bouquet together.

• The next element - packaging for the bouquet - cut out of white leather. The upper edge is cut out figuratively and fired. Here we break through small decorative holes.

• Wrap our bouquet in packaging, fix with glue and decorate with a bow.

• On the back, we fasten the clasp and go to try on the boutonniere in front of the mirror.
